A tiny elephant trumpets loudly in front of the public for the first time yesterday and proves a huge splash hit.

The youngster - who has been named Baby by keepers at Melbourne Zoo - is only the second elephant to be born in Australia and the first through artificial insemination.

Asian elephant Baby was only delivered less than a month ago. So she can be forgiven for still being a bit wet behind the ears.
